Lake Powell 08-15-06
This was a catfish caught after midnight at Lake Powell. The only reason I was fishing this late was because a storm arose and we couldn't make it back to the marina. We ended up sleeping in the boat in a protective cove. I decided to try out the spot. I threw some lunch meat on a hook and casted it out into the water, directly off the back of the boat. After catching this one I cast out again before I went to sleep. I woke to find that my rod was missing. Luckily as I waded out from shore I felt the line as my foot brushed up against it. Surprisingly there was another catfish on and was able to retrieve my pole.
